Is your marketing getting a bit tired?

Are you targeting the right audience? Are you being noticed? Do you know if your advert is working? Are you over-advertising?

Successful marketing takes exceptional design, intuitive layout, understanding of the product or service, and knowledge of the target audience.

Decide what you want to promote and who you want to promote it too. Don't try to sell everything you do to everyone in the one marketing campaign. It will just end up being too confusing. You're better off having more than one marketing campaign, rather than one that doesn't work.

Once you've worked out your target audience and the product/service you'll market, then research the best places to advertise to that specific audience. There's no point in selling soft toys in a 4WD magazine. Regardless of how nice the advert is, it won't be maximising your target audience.

Stick to your campaign. A single advert may not result in any sales at all. Don't despair. Your potential customers may need to see your advert several times over several months before they agree to follow through with an enquiry or purchase.

Don't try to sell everything you do in the one advert or poster.

Target your Audience
Advertise to a specific audience, don't try to please everyone.

Clear Contact Details
Make your name and contact details simple and clear. One Phone number, One Website, One Location.

Limit your advertising
Be specific about where and how you will advertise. You will achieve better results by advertising regularly in one newspaper, than occasionally in several different papers.

Monitor your Adverts
Have a specific special only available for each campaign. This will assist in tracking whether the campaign is working.
